Here's today's dose of nature connection ideas!
Flash connection: Fox Walking
Foxes have the ability to walk silently and mindfully. Practice moving slow as you shift the weight to one foot, lifting the other and very slowly moving your foot forward. As you drop your foot down, start with gently placing the outside of your pinky toe down (do not shift your weight yet), roll the front of your foot over so your big toe and pinky toes are touching but the heel is still slightly in the air. Eventually place the heel down and then slowly transfer your weight to the front foot. Now, slowly lift your back foot and do the same thing.
Moving this way can be a meditation and will allow less disturbance from you into nature.
Adventure: Water Yourself
Did you know up to 60% of the human body is made up of water? Water is essential to so much life! Go on an adventure to get as much of yourself in water as possible. This can look like a dunk in the ocean if you live near a beach or laying down flat in a shallow stream. It can also look like dumping a bucket of water over your head in the driveway, or running through a sprinkler for 5 minutes.
