Wilderness Youth Project offers a wide range of pricing options to meet your family’s financial needs. Families who can support WYP by paying our Program Fee are supporting the actual cost of our work. We work hard to raise funds from community members and supporters so that we can offer scholarships to families needing financial assistance. How Pricing Works
Program Fee: This is the actual cost of the programs. (Staff costs + program expenses)
Scholarship Levels 1-6, Subsidy: For families that need financial assistance. Scholarship amounts are automatically calculated in our registration system based on the income/family size information you provide per the chart below.
If your family qualifies for a scholarship, and would like to pay above or below the amount shown for your preferred program in the “Price with Scholarship” column, you may enter a different amount on the “Review and Pay” page at the end of the registration process.
WYP has a limit of one session/week (School-year programs) or two weeks of camp (Summer camps), per child, with a scholarship below Scholarship Level 2. Additional sessions or weeks require payment of at least Scholarship Level 2.

We understand that sometimes cancellations are necessary and we will work with your family to issue refunds when possible and reasonable. If you have any concerns or questions about the refund policy detailed below, do not hesitate to contact us.
A one-time non-refundable deposit of $30 will be charged upon registration, per session. This $30 fee is per family, per session and is non-refundable on canceled registrations. This deposit fee may not be transferred to a different session (for example a deposit paid for fall session may not be transferred to winter session).
Summer: We require families to pay their full program balance for any cancellations that happen within 5 working days of the start of a summer camp. WYP staff will do everything possible to fill the spot, and if filled, you will only be charged the $30 non-refundable deposit, and will refund the rest of your balance. Though we do have waiting lists, people often make other plans and we can’t always fill a spot on short notice. You may change your child's camp once at no cost. The deposit fee already paid will be applied. After that, WYP may charge $5 per change.
School Year: During the school year, families pay for multiple weeks of programing (sessions). Therefore, if you need to cancel, we ask families to pay for the weeks of sessions they have attended and we will issue a refund for the sessions they cannot attend. If you need to cancel before the session begins or before you have attended a single session, you will only be charged the $30 non-refundable deposit, and will refund the rest of your balance.
Additionally - you can consider turning your refundable amount into a tax-deductible donation to support one of the many children in our programs receiving a scholarship.
Donate to the scholarship fund
Most WYP participants receive scholarship support. That support comes from a generous community of supporters - from the eight year old who donates $5 of his allowance to our generous grant makers and major donors who make scholarships possible. You're invited to join the family of WYP supporters!
