Wilderness Youth Project offers a wide range of pricing options to meet your family’s financial needs. Families who can support WYP by paying our Program Fee are supporting the actual cost of our work. We work hard to raise funds from community members and supporters so that we can offer scholarships to families needing financial assistance. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at gro.pyw@rartsiger or 805-964-8096 for more information.

WYP programs seem so expensive. How much does the camp actually cost? The program fee represents the actual cost per camper for our program. In order to provide the “magic” of WYP we maintain a 4:1 ratio of youth to mentors. That ratio means we can do real mentoring and adventuring, safely and outside. Paying for two staff plus vans and insurance adds up. It also adds value!
A non-refundable, non-transferable $30 deposit is required upon registration.
Cancellation Policy
A one-time non-refundable deposit* of $30 will be charged upon registration, per session. A $30 retainer fee per family, per session is non-refundable on cancelled registrations. This retainer fee may not be transferred to a different session or participant.
We require families to pay their full program balance for any cancellations that happen within 5 working days of the start of a session. WYP staff will do everything possible to fill the spot, and if filled, you will only be charged the $30 non-refundable deposit. Though we do have waiting lists, people often make other plans and we can’t always fill a spot on short notice. Thanks for your understanding and support!
**COVID-19 refund policy: WYP will offer a full refund if a camper cannot attend camp due to any illness of the camper or any shared household person of the camper. This includes the deposit.
