We know that the continued immigration enforcement activities are causing stress, disruption, and fear for many in our community. At Wilderness Youth Project, we want you to know that our programs are a supportive and welcoming space for all children and families, regardless of immigration status.

Our team is here to support you. If there’s anything we can do to help your family feel safer or more comfortable, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Here are some of the ways we’re prepared to support you and all families in our program:

• WYP staff are trained to support children emotionally and are committed to creating a calm, reassuring environment at in-school and after-school programs.
• WYP staff are trained in Know-Your-Rights resources and can connect you with trusted community partners. (You can also read the attached flyer and the ACLU’s resources here.)
• New in 2026! WYP has added branded logo decals with WYP’s contact information on the sides of all WYP vans for visibility.
• Limited transportation support may be available through our vans or other parent carpools for after-school programs. If you’re concerned about leaving home or need help getting your child to and from program, please call us as we may be able to help.
