WYP offers volunteer opportunities all year long. Volunteers have the chance to develop their curiosity, confidence and a life long love of learning, while exploring Santa Barbara’s wild places.
WHAT QUALITIES DOES A GOOD/IDEAL VOLUNTEER NEED TO HAVE?
WHAT QUALITIES DOES A GOOD/IDEAL CIT NEED TO HAVE? (for summer only)
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our programs meet at local parks, open spaces and schools in Goleta, Santa Barbara and Montecito. We use 15-passenger vans to travel to different locations around Santa Barbara, such as creeks, beaches and open spaces.
Program ratios of 4:1 (children to adults) are achieved by staffing programs with two staff, one volunteer and 12 children.
